Breaking Dawn’s Birth Scene Onscreen: “As Intense As It Is in the Book”

eclipseimage2As gruesome as it may be, Bella’s big birthing scene in Breaking Dawn can’t come soon enough.

But until then, here’s an update on what to expect…

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg tells me she’s been in Baton Rouge with director Bill Condon doing rewrites for the scripts for the two BD movies.

“We’re working on it,” Rosenberg says of baby Renesmee’s less-than-pretty arrival. “And we’re working on it to be as intense as it is in the book.”

Yikes. That could be a whole lotta gore.

“I don’t think it’s about the amount of blood you show,” Rosenberg says. “It’s about the intensity of it. It’s on their faces. It’s all from Bella’s point of view when you’re seeing what’s going. It should feel visceral. I think it’s going to be pretty intense.”

What’s Rosenberg’s ETA on the final scripts? “It better damn well be before the beginning of November,” she says, “because that’s when we start shooting.”

Taylor Lautner Declines RV Dealer’s Push Up Competition

02Lautner filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit last week against McMahon’s RV, alleging they failed to deliver a customized $300,000 trailer as promised.

“McMahon RV’s response to our client’s legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place,” Lautner’s attorney, Robert Barta, said in a statement.

Instead of resolving the suit with a push-up challenge, Barta suggested that the company’s owner, Brent McMahon, donate the $40,000 Lautner is suing for to a charity of the Twilight actor’s choice.

RV Dealer Challenges Taylor Lautner To Push Up Competition

021The owner of an RV dealership sued by Taylor Lautner over a customized vehicle challenged the ” Twilight ” star Monday to use his muscles instead of his lawyers to resolve the case.Brent McMahon, who owns McMahon’s RV in Irvine, Calif., offered to compete in a push-up contest to settle the breach of contract lawsuit that Lautner filed Aug. 23 claiming the dealership failed to deliver a $300,000 RV on time for use as a dressing room on the set of the actor’s latest film.

McMahon and his attorney denied wrongdoing and said they will vigorously defend the case in court if Lautner, 18, doesn’t accept the challenge.

The dealership said Lautner’s camp had sought a $40,000 settlement to resolve the case, leading to the unorthodox proposal by McMahon. The 47-year-old businessman said if he won the contest, he would donate the settlement money to Children’s Hospital of Orange County .

Lautner’s attorney Robert Barta declined comment, citing the pending lawsuit.

Lautner’s lawsuit claimed McMahon’s failed to complete the customized RV on time, and it needed additional work after it was delivered.

It was unclear what upgrades Lautner sought. McMahon said the vehicle was given a custom paint job.

Lautner gained fame for his role as Jacob Black in the ” Twilight ” movie series. He is currently filming “Abduction” and will reprise his role as Black in the two-part ” Twilight ” finale.

‘Twilight’ Actor Jackson Rathbone Joins ‘No Ordinary Family’

012Coming out of a summer in which he appeared in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” and “The Last Airbender,” Jackson Rathbone has landed a role on ABC’s upcoming superhero series, “No Ordinary Family.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, Rathbone will portray Trent, a high school student who is the victim of a home invasion robbery. Rathbone’s role is also described as “potentially recurring.” The report also hints that Rathbone’s character may be a potential love interest for the telepathic Daphne Powell, who is portrayed in the series by Kay Panabaker.

Although Rathbone is best known for playing Jasper Hale in the “Twilight” films, he has also appeared in “S. Darko,” “The War At Home,” “The O.C.,” “The Cleaner” and “Criminal Minds,” where he played a serial killer with multiple personalities.

“No Ordinary Family” was created by Greg Berlanti — one of the co-writers of the “Green Lantern” film — and Jon Harmon Feldman (”Tru Calling”). The series follows the adventures of the Powell family, Jim (Michael Chiklis), his wife Stephanie (Julie Benz) and their children Daphne (Panabaker) and JJ (Jimmy Bennett) who survive a plane crash in the Amazon and emerge with strange and fantastic superpowers.

Back in April, Marc Guggenheim — a noted comic book scribe, “Green Lantern” co-writer and producer of “No Ordinary Family” spoke out about how Chiklis’ performance incorporates some of his previous roles, including Vic Mackey of “The Shield” and Ben Grimm of “Fantastic Four.”

“There are elements of all the various characters he’s played over the years, but combined in a package we’ve never seen from him before,” said Guggenheim. “What’s great about Michael as an actor is that you feel like you can write anything for him; there’s nothing he can’t do. On the set, I’m constantly amazed by how much he can convey with just a look. That’s really the difference between an ‘actor’ and someone who is truly ‘a star.’”

“No Ordinary Family” debuts on ABC Tuesday, September 28.
