Who’s that on Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight cover?
You may have wondered: Whose hands are oh-so-gently cradling the apple on the iconic “Twilight” cover? Serious Twi-fans already know. But I confess, I didn’t — until I came across this Slate photo gallery of famous hand models. The models’ sleek, manicured digits have been used for advertisements hawking Palmolive soap, Pillsbury pie crust and Amazon’s Kindle. And, of course, for Stephenie Meyer’s tale of vampires, werewolves and Bella. So check out the gallery, and get acquainted with the Kimbra, Mia and other famous hand models. (And ask: Who washes the dishes and does the gardening in their homes?)
p.s. Thanks to Amazon’s Omnivoracious blog for tipping me off to the photo gallery.

Robert Pattinson sheds light on his romance with co-star Kristen Stewart
“Twilight” teenthrob Robert Pattinson is finally coming clean about his relationship with co-star Kristen Stewart – and, it’s what Twi-hards have been suspecting all along.“It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes,” Pattinson admitted to London’s The Sun at Sunday’s Bafta Academy Awards in the U.K.
The duo have been closed-mouthed about their relationship, but they had planned to make their first public appearance as a couple at the Baftas. Sadly, due to safety precautions, Pattinson, 23, and Stewart, 19, were forced to arrive separately.
“We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy,” Pattinson explained. “This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple, but it’s impossible. We are here together and it’s a public event but it’s not easy”
He added that the two often have to create distractions in order to be together publicly. “We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.”
Stewart, who picked up the Orange Rising Star award at the ceremony, later joined her “Twilight” co-star at a Grey Goose-sponsored afterparty at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
Stewart was snapped leaving the soiree around midnight with Pattinson, who is in town filming “Bel Ami” with Uma Thurman.
The next installment in the “Twilight” saga, “Eclipse,” hits U.S. theaters June 30.

It was hard to miss the fact that Burger King was heavily endorsed by The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Not only did the company’s products appear in the film itself, but they also sponsored a fandom-wide series of contests for BK crowns and giftcards. Not to mention, the company hosted New Moon goodies at their various franchises throughout the months surrounding and during the film’s release. Top ten ‘Twilight’ moments to look forward to in 2010
It’s officially 2010, and you know what that means . . . another year of Twilight!
Without further adieu, here are the top ten Twilight moments to look forward to in 2010!
- The Twilight Saga: Eclipse trailer
This is, right now, one of the most immediately anticipated moments in the Twilight fandom. We’ve already seen one still from the film (showing Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the meadow), the title art, and the first promotional poster for the film. Yet, only six months out from the film’s release, there’s not much about Eclipse (aside from the devoted Twittering from director David Slade) that has been seen. There’s been a bit of speculation about when and where the first trailer will debut, but even Slade himself has stated that he doesn’t know. If the first trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is anything like the one for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, though, it’ll be a monumental occasion . . . Can’t wait to see those reaction videos!
- The Twilight Saga: New Moon DVD and deleted scenes/commentary
Sometime this spring, the DVD for The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be released. Last year, when Twilight’s DVD was released, there were DVD release parties across the country, including showings from cast members and the director at the various venues of celebration. Perhaps the New Moon DVD will receive the same treatment. Regardless, the release will be a moment of fun for Twilight fans, and two of the things that the DVD will bring – aside from the actual movie, that is – are deleted scenes and commentary. In the Official Companion for New Moon, there was at least one image from what appears to be a deleted scene (this one, showing Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene outside of the Swan home). There are two others we’ve discussed here as well. According to director Chris Weitz, there’ll be about twenty minutes of deleted scenes. Usually, in addition to deleted scenes, a film DVD offers a special commentary option with the director and, potentially, castmates from the movie. For Twilight, the DVD commentary came from Catherine Hardwicke, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart. In the commentary, the three had the opportunity to reflect on filming and their opinions on certain scenes as they watched. While New Moon has already been discussed (extremely thoroughly) by all parties involved, it’d still be fun to hear their reactions to the film as it progresses on-screen!- Remember Me, Valentine’s Day, The Runaways, and other films by the cast
The Twilight fandom is a devoted bunch. Becoming fans of the cast for the films is practically part and parcel of being a fan of the series. This is especially true when it comes to the “Big Three” (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner). So, to see their work outside of the saga come to fruition will be fun and pertinent to a lot of the fans.
In Robert Pattinson’s case, his spring release film Remember Me (which debuts on March 12, 2010) will probably be a must-see for Twilight fans and fans of the actor. The film tells the story of a young man enduring and overcoming a family hardship in the Big City. He is joined in the film by Lost star Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, and Chris Cooper. The release of Remember Me will certainly be a great moment for Twilight fans in 2010.
