Robert Pattinson Finds New Blood

56137493AW087_harry(CBS) Robert Pattinson’s known for vampire love in the “Twilight Saga” movies. But can the actor convincingly tell a different tale of l’amour?

That’s just what the star tries to do in “Remember Me,” a drama about love amid loss. Pattinson filmed the movie in just two months between making the second and the third “Twilight” movie.

Pattinson starred in and executive produced the film. He said he decided to make the movie after reading several scripts because it seemed like it “was never going to get made.”

He said,” It’s so different. It’s difficult to categorize.”

Pattinson compared “Remember Me” to Robert Redford’s classic film “Ordinary People.”

He explained, “It feels like kind of that, I don’t know, late ’70s kind of romantic. Like romantic dramas were a little bit deeper than they are now. There are no heroes, there are no villains. Everyone in it is a good person. It’s just sort of a good family trying to deal with tough times.”

“Early Show” co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez said “deep” is the perfect descriptor for Pattinson in this movie.

“I was so impressed,” she said. “I was so struck by how deep and how emotional and how conflicted your role was.”

As for his “Twilight” minions, who’ve dubbed themselves “Twihards,” Pattinson says he’s not gotten quite used to the spotlight.

He said he doesn’t know how to deal with the “hysteria” of the crowds.
“(You) don’t know what to say,” Pattinson said. “I hope I can look back on it with very, very fond memories of it, this completely surreal time of my life.”

Pattinson, a favorite of tabloids, said the most outrageous thing he’s read about himself was in an Australian magazine that said he was secretly pregnant.

“It was this big scandal,” he said. “And they tried to form the article by saying I was hiding it.”

The next “Twilight” film, “Eclipse” debuts in June. Is the star ready for the madness again?

“I’m not sure,” he said. “I’ve seen nothing from the film. I’ve just seen the trailer, which is on the front of ‘Remember Me.’ And that’s it. I think it would be much more of a sort of action film from what I can tell.”

Pattinson’s currently shooting a film called “Bel Ami” about a French journalist who sleeps his way to the top of the social ladder. Slated for release next year, the film co-stars Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas.

Rodriguez joked, “You’re not looking forward to that role at all, are you? That’s horrible.”

“In mainstream thinking you would not know me from anything other than ‘Twilight,’ so these films are very different from them,” Stewart said in a telephone interview from Los Angeles.

Anna Kendrick talks about upcoming ‘Eclipse’ trailer

AK“Twilight” star Robert Pattinson has seen the “Eclipse” trailer set to premiere during his flick “Remember Me,” out in theaters Friday. And Kellan Lutz promised that the flick itself will be very “badass.” But it seems like Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick has yet to be treated to the trailer for the flick.

At the very least, she knows that it will look “beautiful,” based on the work cinematographer Javier Aguirresarobe did on “New Moon.” “I haven’t actually [seen the trailer yet],” Kendrick told MTV News on the Oscars red carpet on Sunday. “I trust that it will look very beautiful. It’s the same cinematographer as last time, so at least we know it will look beautiful.”

Last month, when MTV News caught up with Kristen Stewart at the red-carpet premiere for “The Yellow Handkerchief,” she had a few scenes she wanted to see make the final cut for the “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” trailer. “Oh my gosh! There’s a really cool thing that happens on a cliff with Jacob that should definitely be in there,” she said. “Battle stuff. I would say the [newborn vampires]. The newborns are going to look awesome.”

Late last year, at the New York premiere of “New Moon,” Stewart said she was really excited for fans to get a chance to see the love triangle between Jacob, Bella and Edward intensify in this next film. “I’m looking forward to seeing the love triangle actually becoming a problem,” she said. “We sort of innocently touch on it in ‘New Moon,’ but it actually becomes something that is very, very real.”

Kristen Stewart Wows on the Red Carpet

SPL163157_011by Ruchira Haldar

March 08, 2010, (Sawf News) – Kristen Stewart wowed in a custom-created navy trumpet gown at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 7 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Kristen, 19, who currently has the world watching her every well-heeled move, joined Hollywood luminaries to honor cinema’s crowning achievements for the previous year.

Kristen, who was a first-time presenter at the Academy Awards, showed she has what it takes on the red rug. Still sporting the black hair she had from The Runaways, the actress kicked up her generally low-key style with hair swept up and a diamond bracelet from H. Stern.

The ruching of her Monique Lhullier dress both at the top and middle accentuated her flawless figure while its black color contrasted perfectly with her pale skin.

With Stewart’s perfect taste in men, aka Robert Pattinson, and ideal taste in designers, is it any wonder we love the Twilight beauty?

No Razzies for ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon,’ Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner

rpattandlautnerA couple of weeks ago, the nominees for this year’s satirical Razzie Awards came down and showed The Twilight Saga: New Moon and its cast to be nominated in several categories.

The Razzies – of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation – are purposed at “saluting the worst that Hollywood has to offer each year.”

The Twilight Saga: New Moon was nominated for several Razzies, including “WORST REMAKE, RIP-OFF or SEQUEL,” “WORST SCREEN COUPLE of 2009″ for “Kristen Stewart & Either Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner, Twilight Saga: New Moon,” “WORST SUPPORTING ACTOR OF 2009″ for Robert Pattinson, and “WORST SCREENPLAY OF 2009.”

New Moon, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner all escaped winning in these categories (one award series that Twilight fans might not be sad to see the franchise lose at), but one person who did win a Razzie was Sandra Bullock (for The Blind Side), and, classy lady that she happens to be, she showed up to accept it herself.

See the full list of Razzie nominations and awards here.

Twilight at the Oscars!

425.stewart.kendrick.lautner.lc.030710What’s an awards show these days without some teen vampires and werewolves? Nothing! So that’s why at this year’s Academy Awards, they snuck some in. The Twilight Saga: New Moon had, let’s see, zero Oscar nominations, but somehow here’s Anna Kendrick, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner attending the ritziest party of the year.

So Kendrick didn’t technically sneak in. She totally earned it, being nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Up In The Air and also presenting an award (lucky!) with Zac Efron.

But Taylor and Kristen dodged bodyguards and hid behind props to get into this thing. OK, not exactly—but did the Academy cook up a tribute to horror films just to have an excuse to put these two on stage together?

Also, Robert Pattinson couldn’t make it, but still got mentioned in Neil Patrick Harris’ opening ballad.

So now that the stars have gained access to the planet’s most exclusive party, all that’s left is to make a Twilight movie worthy of Oscar night…

Chris Weitz Not Sure About Returning to The Twilight Saga for Breaking Dawn

chrisweitzWith the DVD and Blu-ray release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon just a few short weeks away (at 12:01 AM on March 20th to be exact), its director, Chris Weitz, has been making the interview rounds, and today came word that as far the Breaking Dawn installment is concerned, he thinks someone else should probably take the job.

In a chat with MTV, Weitz also commented on both the possibility of Breaking Dawn being in 3D and whether it should be one film or two.

I think that 3D is great so long as it’s not used in a gimmicky fashion, and it can supply extraordinary depth to the visual experience,” Weitz told MTV News. He further stated, “I think that it makes sense for it to be split into two parts because it’s quite a dense book with a lot going on.

Now back to whether or not he’s the best man for the job should Summit offer it to him. “I think I’m on record saying I have a two-and-a-half-year-old son, and each one of these movies — especially because it’d be such a long shoot as ‘Breaking Dawn’ — it kind of brings me to the edge of my physical and mental endurance. And I just don’t believe I have it in me.

He did hedge his bets a little with an “of course I’m interested” just in case, but it looks like the fans clamoring for his return for the conclusion of the series had best start looking elsewhere.

Robert Pattinson is being added to Madame Tussaud’s wax figure line-up March 2010

edward-cullen-twilightTwilight’s Robert Pattinson, whose new movie Remember Me makes its theatrical debut this month, will be unveiled as a wax figure on March 25, 2010 at Madame Tussaud’s New York location.  There is no word yet on whether rumored girlfriend and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart will be immortalized in wax as well.

Robert Pattinson will be located alongside Brad Pitt, Hugh Grant, John Travolta and other wax doubles of famous actors in a room called Opening Night Party.  Not bad company for the 23-year-old actor best known for his role as vampire Edward Cullen.

The process of creating wax Robert Pattinson has taken a labor-intensive six months and a team of dozens of artists.  Fans of the superstar will be invited to the figure’s unveiling, but in limited numbers.  Pattinson is not expected to attend.
